Last Night
Last night she asked Jesus,
To come into her heart.
She prayed and said, "Dear Jesus,
Let’s never be apart.
I want for You to live with me,
I want You close to me.
So Jesus, my sweet Jesus,
Come in and stay with me."

"Mommy said You died for me,
So that I don’t have to die.
They nailed and hung You to a cross,
Why would they do that, WHY!
But Mommy said it was God’s plan,
To pay the price for sin.
And now because of what You did,
In my heart You can come in."

"I know you must have felt such pain,
Up on that cross so high.
To think of what You did for me,
Just makes me want to cry.
I know I still have lots to learn,
But there’s one thing I know.
That You my Jesus are so sweet,
And to heaven I’ll someday go."

Last night she asked Jesus,
To come into her heart.
She prayed and said, "Dear Jesus,
Let’s never be apart."
She took my hand and held me close,
And said, "He is so sweet."
Last night she gave her heart to Him,
And now she is complete.
