Day by Day

Day by day I look up to Jesus,
He knows what's right for me.
Each day I let Him be my guide
and He sets my heart free.

Day by day my hope is in Jesus,
although life brings such pain.
When I keep my eyes on Him
I'm blessed with heavenly rain.

Day by day I look up to Jesus
and joy just fills my soul.
I once was broken but now I know,
that Jesus made me whole.

Day by day I look up to heaven,
up to my shining light.
He shines His love and warms my soul,
and makes everything right.

Day by day I talk to Jesus,
I open up my heart.
I know as long as I trust Him
we'll never be apart.

Day by day I reach up to Jesus,
I long to see His face.
I long to have Him hold me close
in His warm sweet embrace.
  
Day by day I trust my sweet Jesus,
my faith is in my King.
I'll always keep my eyes on Jesus,
for He's my everything.
