Sweet
Touch
I sat outside, the sun's warmth all around,
I closed my eyes and God's peace I found.
I sat there enjoying the warm Spring breeze,
While thanking God for the birds and the trees.
I opened my eyes and green buds I did see.
And flowers in bloom were right before me.
The birds were singing high up in the trees.
And I sat there watching the ants and bees.
The grass looked so green and the sky so blue,
Everything around me looked so brand new.
The air smelled like flowers, so fresh and sweet.
And not far away I heard baby birds tweet.
I knew as I sat there enjoying the day.
That God is the reason for each blue jay.
He made this world, each flower and bug.
And I longed to reach out and give Him a hug.
He loves all the animals, and each little bird,
But He loves me more, it says in His word.
I am so special; God loves me so much,
And outside that day I felt His sweet touch.
