All Through The Years Friendships fade and friendships grow, Like the seasons they come and go.
A friend is there when all goes wrong, They pray for us to make us strong.
Special times we spend together We've laughed and cried in any weather.
But once in awhile we lose a good friend, Maybe a death or a move made it end.
We hug our dear friend with tears in our eyes, It's sad and real hard to say our good-byes.
But life goes on and we make a new friend, Hours of time together we do spend.
We never stop thinking of dear friends of past, And are just so thankful our memories will last.
Old friends and new ones, we treasure them all, Some we may see now and others we call.
But no matter what they are all very dear, Whether they live far or very near.
But I have one friend, who won't leave my side, His arms are always open wide.
He's there for me through thick and thin, He's with me now and He's always been.
He'll never die or move far away, He's with me every single day.
His name is Jesus, Son of God, And He loves me even though I'm flawed.
He's faithful and true, honest and kind, He's the very best friend that I can find.
I have earthly friends, who I do love, But my best friend is my Father above.
Like the seasons friends come and go, But Jesus just stays and closer we grow.
God gives me friends so special and dear, But He stays my best friend year after year.
