Inspiration

I need some inspiration
to help me write again.
I’ve not had much encouragement
and writing is a strain.
I love the Lord with all my heart
He fills my life each day.
But something holds me back these days
and I don’t have much to say.

I want to write a song of praise
for my Lord up above.
I long to tell the world of Him
for He’s the God of love.
I long to share my heart and soul
so other then will see.
That Jesus gave his life for them
so they can be set free.

I long to tell this hurting world
that Jesus is the way.
It's Him they really need to know
they need to know today.
That no matter what they face
to look to God above.
He’ll help them through and give them hope
And fill their hearts with love.

I need some inspiration
so I’ll turn to my sweet Lord.
He is my inspiration
and my greatest reward.
When I keep my eyes on Him
that’s when the words do start.
And I pray that He will use those words
to touch someone’s heart.
