Give ear to my words , O Lord, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.
-- Psalm 5:1 - 2

Heard My Prayer
I asked You O Lord to fill up my soul so You filled up my soul and make my life whole. I asked You to stay close and help me through pain but instead You stay with me through sunshine and rain. My faith can be weak and my strength all gone but no matter the trial you help me go on. When confusion hits me and I don't understand You remind me to trust You for my life You've planned.
I prayed for a friend and You came along and each day You fill my life with a song. When I'm feeling lonely and sadness finds me You reach down and touch me and help me to see. That no matter how rough and hard things appear You'll always love me and always stay near. That You'll be my freind through good times and bad and that You'll hold me close when I'm feeling sad.
I'm sometimes afraid and I need Your strong arm and You whisper softly, "I'll keep you from harm. Just trust in me child, for I love you so, and I'll protect you wherever you go. And when your life's over I'll call you with love and I'll bring you home to Heaven above. So don't be afraid for child you're mine, and I promise you that all will be fine".
I prayed O Lord that You'd come into my heart and since that day we've not been apart. You stay close to me never leaving my side and I know in Your arms You'll let me hide. All that I have I know comes from You and forever I'll cherish all that You do. Thank you O Lord for all of Your love and I long for the day when we'll meet above.
I prayed O Lord and You heard my prayer You listen and show me how much You care. Your love surrounds me and I feel your strong arm protecting and leading me far from all harm. I don't deseve You, Your mercy or grace yet each day you forgive me and shine on my face. A child of Yours Lord I always will be and each day I'll come to You down on my knee.
